Jen Lien and Vince Fuh Perform Aubades by Traci Brimhall
On 23 April 2011 in Morphy Recital Hall at the Humanities Building in Madison, WI, Jen Lien will sing the world premiere of my song cycle, Aubades, a setting of… er… aubades by Traci Brimhall. Lien and Fuh already performed a live reading of “Aubade with a Broken Neck,” the fourth and final song of the set, as a stand-alone version in spring 2009. I’ve since revised that one a tad and finished three others to precede it: “Aubade in a Burning House,” “Oneiromancy,” “Sonnet with Lightning and Bull Sharks.”
